Finally Home was built by someone autistic — who knows what it’s like to search for help that doesn’t exist yet. Not from the outside looking in. From lived experience.

From Our Co-Founder

Growing up, I never felt like I belonged.

The words floated in front of me, out of reach. My mind screamed while my face stayed blank. Fluorescent lights buzzed like bees in my skull. A sudden noise hit like a punch to the stomach. I felt every layer of my clothing, always.

I felt like an alien dropped on Earth without the instructions.

People laughed at me for being different. I was even locked in a shed for it.

One day, I posted on Facebook asking for autism resources. I expected silence. I found kind people instead — doctors, specialists, parents, advocates. All willing to help.

That’s when it hit me: what if we brought them all together?

That’s how Finally Home started. Me — autistic — and my business partner, who’s neurotypical.

I went through a divorce. Became a single mom. No support. My doctor referred me to a neurologist, who referred me again, and again. None of them understood autism.

So I researched it myself. For hours. I learned things that are “common sense” to most people, but never taught to me — like ASL, basic life skills, even how to know when I was hungry.

It changed my life.

Along the way, I found Auditory Processing Disorder.

That’s when I realized: there’s more support out there than we know. We just don’t know where to look.

Finally Home is that place. Built for the doctors, therapists, business owners, and communities who show up for autistic people every day — and everyone I haven’t found yet.

Because this is about coming together.

So we can all finally say:

I am home.
